Along the beachfront and dunes in the French coastal city of Calais you can find a lot of old bunker ruins. These bunkers were part of the AtlantikWall defense line built by Germans during the WWII. Nowadays, the bunkers are completely deserted and most of them are covered with graffiti.
The dunes are accessible for public, so it’s easy to have a closer look. Just pay attention, some parts became really dangerous (not recommendable with kids).
