Lonac, the national pride among the Croatian muralists, is known for his photorealistic (and sometimes surreallistic) large-scale murals. Usually, his works are influenced by current social issues, comics, music, movies and even the skateboard culture. I think his work for The Crystal Ship is a bit disappointing? In Zagreb and Sisak I have seen more eye-catching works painted by him. Nevertheless, a new finished artwork by a world renowned a top artist in my hometown Oostende.

This blogpost is my entry to Patti Moed’s Lens Artist Photography Challenge with Street Art as theme of the week.
Fabulous choice, Stef. I’m glad you added to our collection of great street art!
The theme, really my thing:p. Glad you like my contribution to the challenge. Cheers Stef
I love it. The placement on
The building Is perfect!
The walls of this school are excellent for street art. On two other side walls you can find a large scale mural of Collective Licuado and 1 painted by Matthew Dawn. Gr Stef
I cannot be disappointed as I haven’t seen his work before. Love this one though!
Maybe my expectations were too high? Don’t know… check out my former blogpost: http://www.ostendnomadography.com/wpc-top-5-street-art-creations-spotted-in-2017/ . Nr 4 is painted by Lonac… Which one is your favorite? Lonac in Sisak or Lonac in Oostende? Gr Stef
OK, I prefer Sisak. And that bird in your post was rather astonishing!
Totally agree… that mural in sisak is so funny:).
My comment must have gone away? Well, I prefer Sisak. But my favorite in the gallery was the bird!
Hi Leya, your comment is fine:). It’s just awaiting moderation modus:). Gr Stef
Ah – just did not show in my section!
I love this piece of art and the concept of street art to enrich the lives of everyone passing by.
It’s indeed a great concept and the majority of the people do not see it anymore as vandalism. Thanks for passing by Kevin.
Excellent.
Thanks:).
Nooo! It’s obvious that you are not a purse-wearer. 😀 It’s a real struggle!
It’s so stunning!
Glad you like the mural:). Cheers Stef
